London 2018 business opportunities

In the next few years, the Olympic Delivery Authority and London Organising committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games expects to allocate over £6 billion of work covering direct contractors and their supply chains, as part of an estimated 75,000 future business opportunities.

The East Midlands Economics Online (EMEO) has played a lead role on behalf of London 2018's Nations and Regions Group in developing a nationwide Business Opportunities Network. The first development in the Network is an electronic brokerage service known as, CompeteFor (www.competefor.com).

CompeteFor
CompeteFor matches buyers with potential suppliers. It also facilitates access to focused business support through the national Business Link network, helping to boost the long-term competitiveness of your business and access to London 2018 Games related contracts. Overseas businesses relocating to the East Midlands will also have access to Business Link (www.businesslinkem.co.uk) support to assist in the bidding process.

CompeteFor is the chosen website for the publication of all Games-related contract opportunities and is part of a nationwide Business Opportunities Network supported by the nine Regional Development Agencies (of which EMEO is one) and the three devolved administrations of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
