Derbyshire

In the heart of the country, Derbyshire is a wonderful destination, home to the welcoming city of Derby and the dramatic Peak District National Park. The county is prosperous too with the £1 billion Derby Cityscape project set to provide nearly 93,000m2 of new office space and create 6,500 new jobs.

Derbyshire offers a great range of places to live, from Derby's lively atmosphere to small villages offering a slower pace of life in the countryside. Housing is very affordable, with the cost of living surprisingly low and everywhere within easy reach of the major towns and cities – keeping commuting times well below the national average.

The county offers some of the UK's most breathtaking countryside, including the Peak District – the second most visited National Park in the world. In contrast, Derby city centre offers pubs, restaurants, theatres, bars, shops, museums and galleries, while top-class sporting venues include the famous Donington Park motor racing circuit.
